The royal box is substantial in size and is crowned with an ornate canopy, on top of which is the crown, supported by the Fauna sounding the trumpet. It was gilded entirely by Antonio Pittarelli, who was also responsible for the gilding on the faux drapes and the crown. The picture decoration was executed in 1768 by Gaetano Magri, who was also in charge of painting the ceiling and the upper tiers with cherubs, garlands, masks and trophies.
