Peschiera

A short distance away from the Castelluccia lies the Peschiera, an artificial lake constructed in 1769 by the architect Francesco Collecini and designed as a practice site for the naval battles of King Ferdinand IV. At the centre of the lake lies a small island called la Pagliara which was once home to a pavilion with arrows and small cannons, but which was then transformed into a place for entertaining guests.
