Casino Royale of Belvedere
Built in the second half of the sixteenth century, probably by the Lord of Caserta Andrea Matteo Acquaviva (1572-1634), during the course of the seventeenth century the Belvedere building was used firstly as lodgings for the foresters and the gamekeepers and was then extended by the architect Francesco Collecini (1723-1804) to accommodate the silk factory and the apartments intended for the royal family. The grand hall, however, was transformed into a parochial church dedicated to Saint Ferdinand the King.
