This restaurant is a magnet for gourmet eaters in town and further afield. It was established in 1950 virtually opposite the palace by Gaetano Marziale, who ran the kitchen while his wife Pasqualina looked after the diners. The restaurant is now in the capable hands of their children, Loreto, Maria and Rosanna. Rosanna has become a fine cook in her own right, one of Italy’s most celebrated female chefs; her recipes are always inspired by the Campania region’s traditions.
