Simone Mosca (Moschino)
The son of Francesco Mosca, Simone Moschino was a sculpture and architect in the service of the Dukes of Parma and Piacenza. Some of the more memorable among his works are the sepulchral monument of Margaret of Austria, natural daughter of Charles V and wife of Duke Ottavio Farnese, in the Church of San Sisto at Piacenza and, in the Palace of Caserta, the marble figures depicting Alessandro Farnese, Margaret of Austria and Ottavio Farnese.
